Pricing
Artefact Media aims to reflect the most accurate
information on book prices at all times. We supply
items at the publisher's recommended price except
where a specific discount is offered. We will make
all reasonable efforts to present accurate information
but we cannot guarantee the price or our ability
to supply any particular book.
Occasionally publishers may increase their prices
unexpectedly, and this is often something we become
aware of only upon ordering stock from them. In
the event that this occurs, or in the event of a
pricing error howsoever caused, we will check with
you to see if you still wish to receive the item
at the new price. All prices are displayed in pounds
sterling (£).
For further information on VAT, distance selling
regulations and selling thresholds please contact
the relevant VAT authority for the country concerned.
Privacy
Artefact Media recognises the concern of our customers
regarding privacy of information. All information
you give to Artefact Media is stored securely, and
is not accessible to other users. Furthermore any
information you give to us will not be distributed
to any other company unless you give us your express
consent.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We
will only use the information that we collect about
you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection
Act 1998). We collect information about you for
two reasons: firstly, to process your order and
secondly, to provide you with the best possible
service. In order to process your payment we may,
however, provide financial information to our account
processors (including Banks and such organisations).
In addition, you may notify us if you do not wish
to receive any further marketing information from
us. The type of information we will collect about
you includes:
- your name
- address
- phone number
- email address
- credit/debit card details
We will endeavour to ensure the information we hold
will be accurate and up to date. You can check the
information that we hold about you by emailing us.
If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct
it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held
securely in accordance with our internal security
policy and the law. If we intend to transfer your
information outside the EEA (European Economic Area)
we will always obtain your consent first, except
for payment processing through the secure channels
of our banking partners. Note that if your book
is not available from our warehouse or suppliers
in the UK and we have to obtain it from abroad,
we will need to transfer the correct information
to our suppliers outside the UK to fulfil the order.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour
of visitors to our site.
Refunds and
Returns
Artefact Media operates an immediate returns policy
in accordance with the UK Distance Selling Regulations
if you return your book within 7 working days of
receiving delivery of your order. Please note that
any postage costs incurred when returning your books
during this period will be at your own cost, unless
the book is damaged, or was sent in error. Please
follow the return directions below.
This policy does not extend to any perishable items,
sealed audio, video recordings or computer software
(which have been unsealed), which are subject to
our standard returns policy (see below).
Note that Print on Demand titles are to firm order
only and non-returnable.
Standard Returns
Policy
After the 7-day period we will be more than happy
to accept books for return in any of the following
cases:
- The book was found to be damaged or faulty. We
will either replace the book or give you a full
refund (including postage costs). Please state which
option you'd prefer. If you require a replacement,
we will wait to receive the faulty copy from you
before dispatching a new one.
- The book was incorrectly supplied. If we have
made a mistake in fulfilling your order, a full
refund (including postage costs) will of course
be given.
- The book does not meet with your requirements.
This is subject to the following conditions:
- The book must be returned within 28 days of receipt
in the UK, 48 days of receipt in Europe, and 4 months
of receipt in any country outside the UK or Europe.
- It must be in pristine and resaleable condition.
- It must be accompanied by a copy of the delivery
note or receipt.
NB: We regret that, in this case, postage costs
cannot be refunded.

Limitations on
use of site
Artefact Media Ltd reserve the right to refuse service,
terminate accounts, and/or cancel transactions in
its discretion, if Artefact Media believes that customer
conduct is in violation or breach of any applicable
law or Artefact Media's terms and conditions, or is harmful
to the interests of Artefact Media. This does not affect
your statutory rights as a consumer..
