Synopsis : Musical worlds collide when Carlos Evans-Sanchez, the 64-year-old Milonga World Champion, teams up with Argentine exiles punk band, The Milonga Rude Boys, for a concert in a North London restaurant. For Diego Trapie, lead singer of the guitar-bashing multi ethnic band scorned by the Milonga establishment, this "transgenerational happening" provides validation by none other than the Milonga Hall of Fame's first inductee. During the film we learn much about Milonga which is a quick, upbeat folk dance that is very regular in tempo. It is playful and extroverted and is to Tango what Jive is to Foxtrot. For Evens-Sanchez, it's an opportunity to temporarily escape retirement in Cordoba and play a show in the city where his career began over sixty years ago. Bonded by their musical addiction, this unlikely duo takes Hackney by storm in a week full of funny and bizarre adventures both on stage and off. "Bring On The Milonga Rude Boys " is the first feature film by Steve Ray Credence who touchingly captures the collision of two generations and delivers a portrait of a self-proclaimed "old man with young ideas," who knows that while his time is over he is nevertheless a gentle man with a rock 'n' roll soul.
